Methodology Guide AISKills4CT Training Programme

1. INTRODUCTION

The theoretical development of the course is structured in learning objectives that need to be achieved gradually, as they are divided per courses, following a given structure that has been developed in the framework of AISkills4CT project. These objectives are strictly related to course training contents and can be found all along the sessions included within the training modules.

The pedagogical model of AISkills4CT is characterized by a full e-learning (full immersion) experience with high level of interactivity.

  • Active learning: Learners are provided with the necessary means to build their own meaningful knowledge through reflection and assessment.
  • Collaborative learning: Learners have the opportunity to share insights, knowledge and experiences in forums provided and the possibility to connect and engage with AI, CE and HRM expertise to deliver a high-quality learning experience, develop new ideas and knowledge and finally, increase the engagement and innovation.
  • Self-learning: The learner has the possibility as main actor in the training programme to go through the modules at their own pace and skills, ensuring a tailored training experience.

The training modules are divided into 3 training modules with certain number of sessions depending on length content and structure. All training modules are provided with resources (e.g. Literature references) and interactive functionalities (e.g. quizzes, branching scenarios) to enrich training learning experience. Besides, the courses can be done in the e-learning platform individually or following the structure envisaged in AISkills4CT project in all languages (French, Spanish, English and Greek).

Project partners develop tasks and exercises throughout the training course in coordination with innovative training methodologies, which make the AISkills4CT a ground-breaking and tailored training programme for agri-food professionals. The methodology to deliver this training uses innovative pedagogies aligned with the European Qualification Framework (EQF), a set of quality assessment criteria and open digital channels to ensure a comprehensive and tailored training experience for learners.

Here are the 3 Modules that can be found as part of the Training Programme:

  1. AI Introduction applied to the Agri-Food sector.
  2. Circular Economy principles applied to the agri-food sector.
  3. Circular Human Resources Management.

Each Module has its own structure and presentation of content, In each of them learner will be able to navigate through Module learning outcomes, slides information, case studies and literature references. Additionally, to foster interactivity and engagement, it has been included a series of quizzes, drag-and-drop, flip the card and match definitions with concepts activities. Finally, a Final Quiz has been included at the end of each module to assess knowledge gained by learners.

In both cases, quizzes at the end of Module Sessions and the Final Quiz, the questions included are exclusively related to Training Module and content, being the final aim for the learner to show the application, analysis and evaluation of the course material.

2. Content, resources and activities.

2.1. Content and resources by module.

To fully involve and take the most from the training programme, learners have access to study and training materials on the platform:

  • Learner’s Guide.
  • Training Modules in PDF in all languages (EN, ES, FR, GR).
  • Practical Use Cases of Artificial Intelligence applied to Circular Economy and Human Resources Management.
  • Assessment activities and quizzes in training sessions included in the modules.
  • Final Quiz of Training Modules and Certificate of Completion upon completion of training programme.
  • Literature references included in the training modules.
  • Open Living Directory with experts' contact information about AI, CE, and HRM.

All these resources are an essential part of the study and it is highly recommended to use them all in the process along with the course and online resources.

The online course allows the student to gain precise knowledge and skills through the online presentation and further develop skills and competencies by using the resources provided after each module. Even if the learners have the possibility to complete the modules individually, it is highly recommended to follow the structure developed. It is also worthy to mention that learners will only be awarded the “Certificate of Completion” after the accomplishment of the 3 modules.

The learner can also increase their knowledge, ask doubts and questions, and foster debate through the e-learning platform and the features it offers. Precisely, the learners have at their disposal the following features on the e-learning platform to increase and tailor their learning experience:

  • Tailored access to PDF Training Modules and Use Cases after enrolment.
  • Possibility to send questions through the “Messages Inbox.”
  • Possibility to create groups and foster debate among project partners and other learners enrolled.
  • Access to experts’ information to solve any doubts that learners may have in the Open Living Directory.
  • Files Section: It offers the learners to access additional resources about AISkills4CT main themes (AI, CE, HRM) and solve any potential doubt about the resources included.
  • Progress and infographic: Every learners has the possibility to monitor its progress on the Training Programme and check some basic data (training time, overview, course completion rate, among others).

2.2. What can be found in an AISkills4CT Module

Training Modules of AISkills4CT and its multimedia format include the following aspects. Please, consider that each module has been developed by different partners according to their expertise, so it is tailored and adjusted accordingly.
  • Learning Outcomes.
  • Quizzes at the end of Modules’ sessions.
  • Literature and external references.
  • Practical Use Cases.
  • Drag-and-Drop.
  • Flip the Cards.
  • Match definitions with concepts.
  • Final Quiz.

2.2.1. Examples of e-learning Interactive activities.
  • Drag and Drop.
This activity is aimed to test the knowledge of learners on classifying items. The options are stacked one behind the other, and once an option is dropped in either of the columns, the next option is displayed. So, the learners see a single option at a time instead of all at one time.

  • Match items with definitions.
This activity allows learner to focus on AI, CE and HRM concepts and its potential definition. All the definitions have been thoroughly shown and explained in the Modules, even with practical examples. The different options are shown at the same time. In case of success, the concept stays matched with its definition, otherwise, it remains unmatched in case of miss.
